Anti-Medo (Portugal)

Miguel Sampaio is a Portuguese drummer and session musician based in Porto. Born in Ovar, on the shores of Ria de Aveiro, his musical journey began at the age of 8 with guitar lessons and then took it one step further by buying his first drum kit - and since then, music has become a fundamental part of his life, leading him to understand the value of sharing and the importance of art for the community. He attended the Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espetáculo in Porto, where he graduated in Jazz and Modern Music. Throughout his career, Miguel has distinguished himself through the diversity of musical styles in which he engages. Recently, he launched his solo project titled Anti-Medo. This work reflects a mix of influences ranging from electronic to acoustic music, creating compositions that explore new soundscapes.
